FMWA's Mission Statement:

FMWA is a non-profit trade association, responsible for educating and protecting members and allies of the moving and storage industry. The main purposes of FMWA include:

  1. Advance the best interests of the general public as it relates to the moving and storage industry
  2. Fostering good business ethics on the part of its members.
  3. Promote cooperation and goodwill among its members.
  4. Investigate and make recommendations as to existing or proposed legislation and to appear before legislative bodies, commissions and boards on behalf of the association.

 

THE PURPOSES OF THIS ASSOCIATION ARE:

  1. To advance in every way the best interests of the general public as it relates to the moving and storage industry.
  2. To foster and promote good business ethics on the part of its members. To keep its members informed of the laws, rules and regulations governing the industry. To make known to government the views of the industry relative to such matters. To prevent unfair practices on the part of its members. To aid, assist and educate its members in complying with the law. To do any and all things that will assist and promote a dignified conduct of the moving and storage industry in the State.
  3. To promote cooperation and goodwill among the members.
  4. To investigate and make recommendations as to existing or proposed legislation and to appear before legislative bodies, commissions and boards on behalf of this Association.
  5. To rent office space and employ the necessary employees to carry out the objectives of this Association.
